Definitely confused here. I've searched far and wide on about every forum and blog post I can find for a solution to this ridiculous issue.
Intermittently, my inspiron will disconnect from our starlink. It will do one of two things. Sometimes the wifi will just stop working and it says unavailable. No matter what I do, I cannot get it back on without rebooting. The other thing it does is show that it's connected, either with changing signal level or it will drop to 0. After this, I also have to reboot to get wifi again. Sometimes even one reboot doesn't fit it and I have to go again. I know that it's not the signal because we have many other devices working while this happens.
I'm on mint cinnamon 20.1. The amount of times I have to reboot per day is ridiculous. This may happen one minute after logging in, or it could happen after I've been working for an hour or more. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for when or how it happens. I've updated through the manager and there are no drivers needed according to the driver manager.
Please help me fix this.

Re: Wifi randomly stops working, shows unavailable
Two things you should do:
Turn power management off:
Disable secure boot in Bios.
Turn power management off:
Code: Select all
sudo sed -i 's/3/2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf
