In the screenshot you posted, it says Secure Boot Enabled. Can you click on that to change it to Disabled?

The big issue with Secure Boot is if the kernel sees it is enabled, it will not allow unsigned kernel modules to load and my instructions to fix your issue depends on the kernel seeing Secure Boot is disabled

Yes, I could Disable it; however, as mentioned in the previous posts, IF I were to Disable it, Linux does not boot up at all. That's where I'm stuck.

To confirm, when installing Linux on any modern system, Secure Boot should always be disabled correct?

I have tried a clean install with Secure Boot ON and OFF. That did not work either.

Oddly, Secure boot has to remain on in order for Linux to boot up. :|

That's where I'm lost as what to do from here... because Linux will not boot up if Secure Boot is OFF.

It only boots up IF Secure Boot is ON.

I thought the Secure Boot "Mode" had something to do with it, but I've tried switching those around and still nothing.

Update:

So I decided to try and reinstall Mint using a bunch of different combinations and finally I've got it to boot with Secure Boot OFF w/ the mode set to Deployed.

Now that I'm able to boot it up, I hope that one off you gurus could please help me get this wifi working. :mrgreen:

I'm currently on this kernel.

I'll try to test the different kernels to see if by doing so will miraculously get the wifi to work? Although...since this is a newer wifi card it would make more sense to be on the newer kernel as that's likely to contain the newer drivers. :?:

I feel like we're so close here and at the 1 yard line from scoring...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've almost jumped to just using POP! OS as another owner of this same laptop got it (WiFi) to work right out of the box, which tells me that getting this WiFi (driver) to work is indeed possible.

I really prefer Mint w/ Cinnamon...

Go into Driver Manager and install the backport iwlwifi dkms driver and reboot

Thanks for the reply Jeremy. When I go to Driver Manger this is all that I see with no other options to search for any drivers:
