Hi there,
I have just installed Mint on a Gigabyte ZD390 UD motherboard and its only showing 100MB/s and not 1000MB/s. However the specs say it should be capable of that speed.
I actually have a second machine with a Gigabyte motherboard, a Z390 Auros Ultra, and this does do 1000mb/s.
Both machines run through the same switch and ethernet cabling in theory.
How can I change it so I am getting 1000mb/s?
Thanks
EDIT - I also tried a gigbit USB 3.0 ethernet adapter, and that would also only run at 100mb/s.

Re: 1000mb/s ethernet not working
Just to check the cabling, and the wording of your post.....Both machines run through the same switch and ethernet cabling in theory.
What do you mean by 'in theory'?
Also, can you check that the cabling is Cat 5e or Cat6.
One other thing - length of cable can be an issue - is the cable more than 100 meters long?
Just checking the simple things first.
