Wifi connection problems

Post by mint_racoon »

Hello, everyone!

I finally pulled the trigger and decided to do a fresh install of Linux Mint on my system.
The problem appears when trying to connect to my WiFi. At first I succeeded in connecting to my wireless network (which was operating at 2.5 GHz at that time) after messing around for a day. The next day, after playing with my router settings, I saw this and decided to switch the router to a 5 GHz band, which automatically turned the other one off and changed my credentials.
When I logged back on my laptop, I've followed the same steps as for the first successful connection, but after 2 days of searching this forum and the internet, nothing.

You could try the 5.11 kernel to see if that makes a difference.

Solved!

Looks like it got fixed by itself. I clicked the toolbar network button and it prompted me for the password, and this time it manage to successfully connect to the network. Really strange...
