How do I change from 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 to something else? There are 3 listed when issuing nmcli dev show | grep DNS
I've referred to this guide but it only has the add not change but I entered the ones that I want to "Addtional DNS servers" but doesn't work.

Did a nmcli dev show | grep DNS. It still showed 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and another one. Why are there 3?

- switch off Automatic DNS (for XFCE and MATE set DHCP Method: to Automatic (DHCP) addresses only)
- enter DNS server IPs
- click Apply button
- open terminal and run the command
Code: Select all
sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager
Code: Select all
nmcli dev show | grep DNS
