Ethernet connects but no internet

Ethernet connects but no internet

It seems there's no IPV4 address being received.
IP address is a link local address starting with fe80::
Attempting to add a default gateway results in Error: Nexthop has invalid gateway.

I'm new to this whole Linux thing but very computer literate. I don't know how to resolve this.

Ethernet is usually automatic. Have you tried reinserting the ethernet cable or restarting the router? If that doesn't help, post the results of:
