Dual boot, no wifi option

Post by areain »

Hi guys,

A few weeks ago I installed linux mint in my Lenovo Legion 5, and it worked perfectly fine alongside windows 11. However, I recently tried to switch over to Arch Linux, however once it got installed there were a multitude of problems so I decided to return to Linux Mint. But this time the wifi option is completely gone and if I run lshw the network returns as unclaimed. Tried every solution that was already here on the forums to no avail, so I decided to post.

-lshw -C network

Install the 5.15 kernel in Update Manager, View, Linux Kernels. Reboot & test wifi.

If not that, you might need to disable Fast Startup in Windows or secure boot in Bios.

You have very, very new hardware. Please install Linux Mint 21 on it.
