[SOLVED] Ethernet Connection Unstable / Fading In & Out, and No IPv6?

Post by uithoz »

Hello everyone! I've been having this problem for a couple days with my internet on this PC in specific with linux mint having the network connection working for a minute and then going down a couple minutes later. I read other forum posts and could not fix the problem. I updated GRUB, updated linux kernal, downgraded linux kernal, tried following this guide for intel linux based distro drivers for ethernet, and nothing has been working. I am hoping someone could help me out. Here is some information that may help,

Try:

Code: Select all

 sudo modprobe -r e1000e && sudo modprobe e1000e && sudo systemctl restart network-manager.service

This didn't seem to work, it disconnected my network and reconnected immediately. The problem is still at large. Edit: sorry for the late reply and execution.

Or maybe a different ethernet port on the machine or router/modem.

Tried it, didn't seem to work. I also tried restarting, didn't work as well.

Ok. By the way, that command did what it should do, it just didn't help any. :(
