Linux Mint 21.1 - how to use Wireguard without root privileges?

Post by Rizado »

Hi!

I tried to use Wireguard plugin for Network Manager. I added all options from working config, but it doesn't work. And I don't see this connection in popup menu for network icon in system tray. Why?
I know about wireguard package and applet, but applet requires root privileges. And I have to install Linux mint for user which likes to change settings. And I don't want to give him root´s password - it's dangerous for system :D .
How to create Wireguard connection which user can enable and disable without root password?
