Driver Error RTl8821CE-DKMS

Hello new installation of Linux and the welcome pop-up, first steps, driver manager, am shown driver rtl8821ce-dkms version 5.5.2.1-0ubuntu 10
DKMS source for Realtek 8821C PCIe WiFi driver

When I first tried to install it, machine crushed and was not able to see any WiFi around and the I tried again it crushed the laptop plus the insicistance of creating a password thing

Am able to use the WiFi as when I did during the installation period

Should I leave it at that?
Am although concerned that I could be using an old driver which might be venerable
