Not connecting to Internet
Hi. I am having a problem connecting to the Internet. It is a wired connection and Linux Mint shows it as being good. When I launch my Firefox browser, it does not get to the intended website. I've tried a few others and they time out as well. Having said that, When I boot into windows [dual boot] I am able to connect to the Internet no problem. I did take a snapshot on bootup to Linux Mint and I do get errors showing. Related to the BIOS [ACPI BIOS Error] amongst other things.
Thanks for any help

Assuming you have Windows 10 or 11, boot into Windows.
Disable 'Enable fast startup'.
Shut down
Now try it on Mint.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I actually had disabled fast startup in the BIOS. Meanwhile, I had an intermittent problem come up again on my computer and decided to use another one I have. It is working really well now and will install Linux Mint on it.

If you haven't done it in Windows, then when you shutdown Windows it will only be suspended, and might be hogging some of the hardware.gittiest personITW wrote: ⤴Tue Feb 07, 2023 12:46 pm Assuming you have Windows 10 or 11, boot into Windows.
