Wireless refusing to connect, need some ideas

Installed Mint 1.3 and can't get the wireless to connect. I just get caught in an endless loop of "enter password for wifi". Used the network manger to set it up to match the router: 104/128bit WEP, Key: 1(default) PW: blablablah.

Here is what I get from mintWyfi.py:

I noticed the encryption key is off, but network manger was set to use the WEP. Is there a way to force the wifi to turn it on other than the manger? Or is this even a problem?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, after many hours of searching, checking things out and learning everything I could find, I rebooted the linux to try out what I learned. And boom, it started working before I did anything........ Guess running mintWifi.py changed something or else the computer fairies broke into my house and fixed it. Got to love computers!

Anyway, thanks to the people who read my post and thought about it for me!
