WPA2 on an Intel Mac

Post by Oskar » Mon Feb 26, 2007 12:37 am

Hey guys!

You did a fantastic job on this distro - I love it. I'm running it on my intel Mac Mini right now, but unfortunately it can't even detect my wireless, much less connect to it. Strangely, when I used the very same app (Network Manager) in Ubuntu, it found and connected flawlessly.

I did the "mintWifi.py" thing and saved the output on a USB drive. Here it is:
mint@mint:~$ sudo /usr/lib/linuxmint/mintWifi/mintWifi.py

Forgot to add: I'm running Bianca (version 2.2).

I just downloaded Bea onto a disk and it doesn't see my wireless either. This is really getting annoying...the exact same app on Ubuntu sees it perfectly, but this doesn't. In iwconfig, Ubuntu sees an ath0 wirelss card, but Bea/Bianca do not.

Looks like there are lots of wireless issues with Mint. What's going on? :-(

Internet access is so critical that I'll have to go back to Ubuntu unless anyone has ideas...

Does anyone have suggestions for this? I've heard that Broadcom doesn't work too well with Mint, but why did Ubuntu see my router yet Mint cannot?
