Dell Inspirion 1501 Wifi Driver In LM15

Post by aandc »

Ok Ok, I know... Your thinking not another Broadcom Wireless issue. But I've hit a bit of a stump in a Log. According to http://askubuntu.com/questions/55868/how-to-install-a-broadcom-wireless-driver that I've used when I had LM 14 on this same machine, and no issues there. The Wifi worked Flawlessly.. now after some time.. and me getting rid of vista.. i'm back with LM15... Did the same steps. Now my Wifi Card shows. that is on. Ya even the Green wifi light is lit up but when I go to connect to my wifi it shows "Wifi Networks Disconnected" :x Even though I know my wifi is being broadcasted..

Did I do something wrong. Or not do somthing that I souldn't of.. Please Help..

Have you tried to

Code: Select all

sudo rfkill unblock all
Also, have you confirmed your driver (b43 I presume) is present in

Code: Select all

lsmod
and not blacklisted by mistake (even though the instructions you linked to show how to use # to remove the blacklist if present)?
