Broadcom Wireless card not working

Postby marsdenisarobot » Sat Sep 21, 2013 6:39 pm

I have a Broadcom Wireless card installed into a Toshiba Satellite C660 Laptop running Linux Mint Julia 10. I have installed the drivers using jockey-gtk. It says the drivers are installed but when I ifconfig -a it does not show wlan0. The "Wireless Networks" section of Networking comes up with nothing, even when my home router is turned on and my iPod and Windows laptop can connect to it. I really need internet. Can someone please help me with this issue? :D I have sufficient knowledge with Linux scripting and terminals, but I am not a *full techie* cos I am 11. PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!! :!:
