Have to forget/readd hidden network after reboot

Post by soulterror » Sun Oct 27, 2013 8:44 am

Hello, I'm running Mint 15 with Cinommin on a Dell Inspiron 1545. Every time I boot the laptop back up I have to forget my hidden network and readd it. This is quite annoying. It see's all the unhidden networks around. Also sometimes while I'm using it the wireless will just drop out for a few minutes and then come back. This will also sometimes require me to readd my hidden network. Thanks in advance.

BUMP...
PLEASE!

This has been an issue for me for quite some time as well; Won't reconnect to hidden wifi automatically!

I didn't have an issue with it in Linux Mint 13, but I've noticed 14, 15, and 16 have this issue.
I have finally migrated from Mint Mate 13 to Mate 16 because a recent update hosed up my setup on 13.
I tried 14, and 15 in the past and had the same problem as this user said, so I stuck with 13 for as long as I could.
Although, I don't have to "forget" my network, I just have to manually choose my router name and connect using "connect to hidden wifi network" option each time I reboot, and when come out of standby mode.

Nothing wrong with wifi card, other cards and systems have the same problem, seems to be software/script related.

Personal info X'd out:
