Mintwifi

Post by peter.cmai » Tue Mar 13, 2007 2:39 am

Sorry if this is a bit basic but am I right that mintwifi is not included in Bianca 2.2 at present but will be after 20th. And whilst using 2.2 as a live cd, I can't download mintwifi using apt-get? Thanks

Hi,

mintwifi should be included on your Bianca system. To make sure you can ask aptitude:

Code: Select all

sudo aptitude search mintwifi | grep ^i | wc -l
--> this should give you "1".

If it does you can check the version of mintwifi by looking at:

Code: Select all

sudo aptitude show mintwifi
Of course you can also see all this graphically by running synaptic.

Thanks again and for a great distribution. The live cd is working fine and connected through a wlan to write this using an Acer Centrino. Once I have vmware, Mint will be installed.
