Post by tuvecino808 »

Hi! Thank you for reading.
I just installed mint 17.3 and seems like my card is not even detected. can some one guide me with some codes or files to solve this?
Again, thank you for your time.

ok this is what I got:

Code: Select all

01:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Marvell W8300 802.11 Adapter [11ab:1fa6] (rev 07)
Subsystem: D-Link System Inc Device [1186:3b09]
01:02.0 Communication controller [0780]: Conexant Systems, Inc. HSF 56k Data/Fax Modem [14f1:2f20]
--
01:08.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Intel Corporation 82562EZ 10/100 Ethernet Controller [8086:1050] (rev 02)
	Subsystem: Gateway, Inc. Device [107b:4043]
	Kernel driver in use: e100
So I have a Marvell w8300, is this a not Linux friendly card?
Thank you for helping.

It is not a Linux friendly card, there are no Linux drivers for it that I can find. I would try to find an Intel 7260 as they are well supported

Thank you so much for your help.
