(SOLVED) Mint 18, Wilreles issues (again), booting from "suspend" mode

Post by alquimista » Tue Aug 23, 2016 7:20 pm

Hi,

Based on this post : https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopi ... 6&t=228169

The problem was solved, for the scenario when the Desktop PC boots, after re-start or after being turned off. Yet, the problem comes again if the computer boots after being in suspension. Let me elaborate:

1) PC is off
2) Turn on the computer, WiFi works fine
3) I put it on suspension
4) Boot after suspension
5) Wifi fails :(

You may have to replace gedit with xed

Code: Select all

sudo -H gedit /etc/systemd/system/root-resume.service
Put the following in the file

Code: Select all

[Unit]
Description=Turn off wlan power management
After=suspend.target

[Service]
Type=simple
ExecStartPre= /bin/sleep 10
ExecStart= /sbin/iwconfig wlp4s1 power off

[Install]
WantedBy=suspend.target
Save and exit text editor

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl enable root-resume
It should be fine
