That isn't the best module, so in terminal

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get remove bcmwl-kernel-source broadcom-sta-common broadcom-sta-dkms
If you have a connection via ethernet then do

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
Reboot

What happens if you execute:

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe b43
Will it start Wifi? The b43 is the OpenSource kernel-module for b43xx.
I did exactly the same because i also have the B4311 b/g.
The problem is that the proprietary broadcom-wl put b43 in backlist so you need to execute modprobe after reboot.
Maybe b43 can be removed from blacklist?

Uninstalling the bcmwl-kernel-source and other packages should remove the blacklists unless one was manually added, you can check for other blacklists with

Code: Select all

grep [[:alnum;]] /etc/modprobe.d/* | grep ssb
As instructions found on the internet often suggest this be blacklisted
