Unable to connect/pair bluetooth device (Realtek)

Post by lingben »

Hi, I'm having some trouble with a brand new laptop with a fresh install of Linux Mint KDE 18.1 Serena - it is able to see bluetooth devices but not connect or pair with them.

Buetooth devices show up in "Available Devices" as series of alphanumerics, for example, 68-64-4B-5B-19-A5, but when I click on the connect button, it tries (the blue wheel spins) but it can't connect

I've checked here:
https://sites.google.com/site/easylinux ... /reserve-7

and the chipset I have doesn't seem to be included: 0bda:0129

here are some system info to get started, let me know if you need any other info and I'll be happy to paste it here, thank you in advance!

Same here with Logitech BT Mouse M535.

The bluez developer team seems to ignore the issue for years, considering the vast amount of unsolved forums submissions I found during my web searches. :x
