Switch on the WiFi in Dell D520

I installed Linux Mint 18.2 in my Dell D520. This laptop requires the wireless to be switched on by pressing Fn and F2 buttons. This used to work with Windows, but not working in Linux. How do I turn on the wireless in this laptop. Through ethernet (cable)connection the internet works fine.
