I'm a newbie when it comes to all things Linux. I had windows 10 and wanted to go pure Linux Mint. Now my problem is the wifi. I have a similar problem that this person had, viewtopic.php?f=53&t=204172&sid=ed99af7 ... 9#p1061250 Same Reltec driver. And I tried some commands that is said but no luck. Honestly a little bit weary at times because I do know that Linux is a lot safer than windows but also if you put a command wrong, is likely to mess up your system. The router is not in my room, it's in another room that I can't get to all the time. Now, I have no idea where to start, like what to post, like commands and such. But I do know where my problem lies, with the wifi. I tried Mint in Vbox on Windows 10 and everything just worked. So, I tried the Mint Live and the wifi settings never changed. So, I thought everything was going good. I've used Windows from 95 to Windows 10, about 30 years. And yesterday I said 'that's it, now is the perfect time to plunge into Linux. So, I installed Mint and I went into the update manager and no signal. So, I went on my phone and started searching for my wifi problem. I was not able to get on my router at that time. So, I just continued to search on my phone. I found a few links to the wifi problem until I found this link, where I referenced above. This seems to be a big hit on the wifi settings or adapter that Linux has. So, without further adieu, this is my problem.
