Mint freezes after connecting to WIFI - Realtek

Post by Larissa238 »

I'm having the same problem. I can use my laptop for a bit, then I have to restart it because it freezes up. Any help would be appreciated.

I copied/pasted the code and this is the output:

Try this:

- Update Manager - panel: View - Linux kernels

- Install the latest kernel from the 4.13 series.

- Reboot.

When no avail, try this consecutive scheme as well:

I updated Linux, and I tried everything that I could on that page.
1. I disabled IPv6
2. I disabled Bluetooth,
3. The soft block is off
4. Power Management is Off
5. I set my router to G-only

I can't update the driver on my chipset because it's a Realtek wireless chipset driver 0bda:57b3 which I tried searching for but couldn't find for Mint on the Help pages.

I did the Driver Manager and found that I have the intel-mircode driver error but i heard that might get fixed soon.

I have some internet connection, that's how I'm posting this. It comes and it goes. It's a brand new router, the laptop is 6 months old. I don't know what the problem could be. Any help is appreciated!!
