update kills wifi

Post by BobMacall » Wed Jan 10, 2018 3:45 pm

I just updated today 1/10/2018 and now no wifi. rfkill list shows soft block.
How to fix? Has problem been noticed by others?

Thanks,

Bob

a. Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- Launch a terminal window (this is how to launch a terminal window);
- make the terminal window full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
- Copy/paste this command into the terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter)

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

b. Do the same with the following three commands:

Code: Select all

rfkill list all
and:

Code: Select all

iwconfig
and:

Code: Select all

inxi -Nn

Re: update kills wifi [SOLVED]

Well, the boot menu added a new entry: "previous versions"

selecting this allowed me to boot the old kernel and wifi works as usual.
Not much of a solution but it gets me back to a functioning system.
Wonder if this will ever get fixed?
good luck,
Bob
