Wi-fi stopped working, can connect but no Internet

Post by KaputUser » Sun Jan 14, 2018 2:31 pm

I can still see the connections, and it says it's connected but I can't ping Google. I can still connect to the wi-fi on my phone though, so I know the wi-fi still works. I'm just connected to the ethernet right now. I am trying to connect to the wi-fi using a TP-Link WN822N USB adapter. The wi-fi has also been spotty with the USB adapter before, so I tried installing a bunch of drivers such as https://github.com/Mange/rtl8192eu-linux-driver . I am using a PC.

The current network setup looks like: Image

  • rfkill list:

    Code: Select all

    0: phy0: Wireless LAN
    	Soft blocked: no
    	Hard blocked: no
Things I tried to no avail:
  • Installing WICD and ended up removing Cinnamon (lol) like this person: viewtopic.php?t=230759#p1222742
WICD didn't show any networks at all, so I ended up removing it.
Could anyone provide me with any suggestions?
