Network applet with problems...

I People...!
I'm new on the forum and relatively newbie on LInux also...
I've got a problem that come up a few weeks ago and I can't find a solution by myself...
My network applet don't work as it should and like it was working until a few day's ago...
Any time that I lose the wi-fi signal and get disconnected the applet don't allow me to connect again and don't show neither the on/off wireless button or the available wi-fi networks...in order to make it work again I have to restart the computer or make a reset by terminal command...
I'm using Mint Cinnamon Serena edition. It was working really fine until a few weeks ago, and I don't know exactly what have caused this problem...
I'll be very thankful if someone can help me to solve this annoying problem...
