Strange Wi-Fi problem, incoming stream just stops.

Post by timmn1 »

I had to remove my ASUS PCE-AC55BT wireless adapter because I'm going to need the slot. I replaced it with a AC1200 USB 3.0 wireless adapter and a USB bluetooth adapter. Now, I listen to Pandora with Pithos, and since I've changed adaptors Pithos goes in to buffering quite often. I've been looking at the incoming data stream using System Monitor, and I can see that the amount of incoming data gets smaller and smaller until it finally hits zero, it stays there for a period of time, and then a large amount of data comes through, and the process repeats. I have a different USB 2.0 adapter, a D-Link DWA-162, and it does the exact same thing when connected to this computer. I have no idea why this is doing that, and I don't even know where to begin. Anyway, here is the output from inxi with the USB 3.0 adapter:

Someday, maybe I'll figure out exactly what the hell I'm doing.
