Wireless issues ath9k

Post by dc0l » Thu Feb 22, 2018 4:38 am

Hi All,

Having trouble getting my computer to connect to the internet. I have read countless posts and don't feel any closer to a solution. The card seems to be recognising that there are networks to which it could connect, but fails to actually connect. Regarding the country code, I am in Australia, so CN doesn't seem correct to me.

At the pastebin link is the results of running the wireless script:

Here is the result of inxi -Fxz

Run this command and the output post inside code brackets not to take space.

Code: Select all

nmcli radio wifi on ; inxi -Fnxxxz ; rfkill list all ; lsmod

Since when this happened? I don’t see any issue.

Try these.

Enable the WPS button if it has your router to give you access.

Install the 4.4 lts kernel.

From live USB check if WiFi works OK.

It's a fresh install - 72 hours.Live USB has no wifi either.

The motherboard doesn't have the greatest linux reputation unfortunately. I may need to try another flavour for the time being.

Thanks for your help mate.
