Kindly help with this adapter. I have seen a couple topics on this forum and on community website of linux mint (https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1796), and used them to install drivers for this adapter.
I have installed the newest Linux Mint version and installed all the updates it showed me. I am new to Linux.
The question. Once installed, the wi-fi adapter has worked fine, but later I had to reinstall it again after all the Mint updates. I have noticed wi-fi adapter to disappear again after a simple laptop closure (like when one does not shut the OS off, but just closes the laptop). Reboot did not help, even the re-installation did not help. Now later wi-fi reappeared again when I have inserted my Ethernet cable.. What is going wrong with this driver and how do I avoid this in future? Quite cumbersome, and my love with Linux may finish abruptly:(
I am using Cinamon environment.
