Wifi crashing randomly

Post by mno » Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:44 pm

Hello folks,
I am using an older Amilo XI 1526 notebook with popular Alienware Bios, which makes it usable with 4GB Ram.
Both machines are basically the same hardware.
On most days Wifi is working flawlessly for hours , but then again it is crashing every few minutes with a kernel crash.
(Perhaps worth to mention that there were never any Wifi issues on Windows with that Bios.)

Thanks in advance for any help

Try it with wifi power management disabled

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i 's/3/2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/*
systemctl restart network-manager.service
