18.2 Intermittent Connection - Lenovo Thinkpad S430 / Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

Post by Zuriki »

Hi All,

I am having an issue with enterprise wireless networks (same SSID/Network settings for many access points). It is causing the wireless connection to drop out intermittently. I don't see any performance issues whilst using the network except for when it will suddenly stop receiving data and after about 30 seconds the connection will begin reconnecting (takes up to 3 minutes). The process can be sped up by disabling and enabling wireless which will cause the connection to re-establish in about 20 seconds.

See if performance improves after

Code: Select all

sudo sed -i 's/wifi.powersave = 3/wifi.powersave = 2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf
systemctl restart network-manager.service
Locked

Return to “Networking”
