TP-link wifi doesn t connect

I have linux mint 18.3 and an wifi extender TP-link TL-WA830RE that doesn t connect.

Is this a network extender that connects to you computer with an ethernet cable and actually connects to wifi?

Have you followed the instructions that came with the extender?

I set the WIFI in a W7 laptop and then put de WIFI in the linux mint PC and work it OK
