Which adapter wireless?

Good morning to everyone.... I have an old wireless adapter Belkin (Realtek 802.11n WLAN Adapter) but it works with intermittence....please there is anyone that suggest me a newest one that works without troubles in linux mint 18.3 x64, and if possible to 5 ghz? Thanks

Don't give up so soon: maybe you can get the Belkin to work properly. Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- Launch a terminal window (this is how to launch a terminal window);
- make the terminal window full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
- Copy/paste this command into the terminal:

(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter)

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

b. Do the same with the following four commands:

For Pjort - JeremyB good morning again.

After one week observation of adaptor BELKIN ascertain 3 thinks:
1. At the start of PC is not always connect ( I must remove end replace the adaptor phisically)
2. Is disconect if remains innactive over 20 minutes
3. there is daley of few seconds when i change link

You understand that is complicate for me continue in this way….
Is possible for you, help me to install Archer_T4U ? (AC 1300 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter)

I think the T4U works after

For JeremyB. unsuccesfull..... I remember that i had tried to install it a few days ago without success... report the answer....in italian language.....
