Mint 19 no wireless support

Post by deepakdeshp » Tue Jul 03, 2018 9:12 am

Hello,
I am running Mint 18.3 Cinnamon and Kernel 4.17.1 where the wi-fi network works without problem. I tried Live usb of Mint 19 which cannot connect to the wireless after giving the w-fi password . Mint 19 uses kernel 4.15.x. When I upgrade from Mint 18.3 to 19 , will the 18.3 kernel that is 4.17.1 be retained?
Otherwise I will need to upgrade the kernel also to 4.17.1 after upgrading Mint version to 19.
TYIA.
