WiFi Disconnecting

Post by chalao_adda »

Hello All,

I am using Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64-bit and my wifi was working properly until few days back. Now my Wifi remains connected for 10-15 minutes, Then suddenly it gets disconnected. Then I have to restart the laptop (sometimes multiple times). Please help.

Thanks.

I would go into Network Manager settings and disable IPv6, then set your country code with sudo iw reg set IN
It might be necessary to change the encryption on the router to WPA2 only rather than WPA/WPA2

I disabled IPV6 and issued the command

Code: Select all

sudo iw reg set IN
. After that it worked for some time. But again it disconnected. Below is the latest status while wifi is disconnected.

Thanks.

Try changing encryption on the wifi router to WPA2 only and not WPA/WPA2 mixed

I don't have separate WPA2 on my router. Moreover my other laptops, desktop and monile devices are running ok from the same router.
