I have an older MacBook with Bootcamp Dual boot: OSX and Mint.
There are typically two types of WiFi servers in restaurants, hotels, transportation hubs and similar: one type will use a simple password protected WiFi connection, the other will have an "open" WiFi hot-spot, but will require that the user accesses their web-page using a browser, click on some "accept terms..." button or even type in an "access code" in order to assign an IP number to the client (i.e., my laptop).
The first type (WiFi password only) works invariably whether I boot under OSX or Linux; the second (browser interaction with the service) works when I boot under OSX, but does not work when I boot Linux Mint.
Any suggestions?
