Remove / Enable WiFi driver module every boot time

Post by LMSimon » Tue Jul 17, 2018 2:42 am

Only way I can get the WiFi card to switch on is to remove and re-enable the b43 driver after each and every boot:

sudo modprobe -r b43

followed by

sudo modprobe b43

I'd prefer to know what the problem behind this behaviour is and what'll fix it, but I'll settle for implementing the remove / re-enable automatically at boot time as a work-around.

Having to remove a module because it doesn't work and re-enabling self-same module says to me there's something wrong with ordering of its implementation at boot time.

Any and all ideas welcomed.

Removed the "[Solved]" from the title, because disabling and re-enabling the wifi card after each reboot is a workaround, not a solution.
Yet, as long as the thread is marked as "[solved]", other readers may not notice so.
(OK, thread bumped to top again. )
