(Solved) Wifi not working linux mint 18.3

I have just installed linux mint 18.3 Cinnamon on my Dell inspiron 15 3452. I am able to connect to internet via ethernet but wifi is not working it connects and even load google.com but unable to do any further browsing, seems like its quite slow or just don't work after sometime. Previously i'd used ubuntu 18.04 for 3 4 months and it was working fine but its been two days since i faced this problem i even reinstalled ubuntu but faced the same issue and now i've switched to mint and still facing the same issue. I have checked rfkill it wifi is not blocked and everything seems fine but wifi still not working

Have you seen this thread? Same computer, same chipset and the problem (for that user) was solved.

There might also be some help in this thread.
