Am having problems after updating from an older Mint (17?) to Mint 19.
There are numerous computers in this house, but only the updated one (Mint 19) gets no WiFi any more.
I have no idea what to do, but have noticed the following:
On the old Mint after clicking on the panel applet:
Wifi - "Mode" was Infrastructure
WiFi - "Security" was WPA & WPA2 Personal.
On Mint 19 after clicking on the panel applet:
WiFi - "mode" does not have the variety "Infrastructure" any more. It now has "client", "Hotspot", and "Ad Hoc" Which is correct?
WiFi - "Security" does not have "WPA & WPA2 Personal" any more. It now has "None", WEP 40/128-bit Key (Hex or ASCI)" What is correct?
All other computers in the house ar working and have Mode "Infrastucture", and Security "WPA & WPA2 Personal".
Grateful for any help!

Re: No Wifi after update to Mint 19
For mode, use client. On LM 19 Cinnamon I see WPA and WPA2 setting in security
SOLVED Re: No Wifi after update to Mint 19
Thank you, JeremyB!
After switching "Mode" to "Client" and only after saving, the WPA2 Option suddenly appeared in the Security Tab!
Now it works.
