[solved] atheros ar9271 not detected by vm

Hello! New guy here. Please excuse my english, it's not my mother tongue. So i've been running Linux for about 2 months. First started with Ubuntu and then went on to Cinammon due to driver issues and some minor bugs.. and it's been great! Smooth installation and it runs great with my nvidia graphics card etc. I don't want to bore you with the details so here it goes.

I'm running kali-linux on a VM and everything is ok except for this new usb atheros ar9271 i got which seems to be pretty standard but oracle's virtualbox software wont detect it.
1. First thing i did was insert the device, check on networks etc to see if that was the way-to-go (as in config, enable it); apparently these devices are PnP in linux. Then ran some stuff on terminal: https://imgur.com/a/i5FRok8 ;

3. Searched the forums up & down but found nothing specific

What exactly does your kali installation have to do with Mint?

Added as extra info in case it helped at all.

Anyhow, fix'd by running: add-user USERNAME vboxusers from terminal as root.
