Connecting a Windows PC w/ a LM PC using Bluetooth

Hello there!

I'm trying to connect my Linux Mint laptop with my Windows 7 desktop PC using Bluetooth, so I can transfer documents and pictures easily. However, when I try to pair them, Linux Mint asks me for the code that appears in the Windows PC, but that code is 8 digits long, and LM only allows you to introduce up to 6 digits! So I can't link them. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Thanks!

I created a Shared Folder on my Win7 desktop, and using the WiFi linked my Linux laptop to that folder.

I used a 7 letter/number password on the Win7 shared folder.
dunno if that made any difference or not, but it works for me.

Are you attempting to pair to the Windows computer from Mint? Is it Mint 19?

Okay, so I tried to make a shared folder, but my Win7 PC won't even recognise my LM laptop, despite being connected to the same network (The only difference is that my Win7 PC is connected via Ethernet and my laptop via Wireless, but they are both connected to the same router). My LM laptop doesn't recognise the Win7 PC either.

Regarding Bluetooth, I'm trying to link both computers from my Win7 PC (My LM laptop doesn't find my Win7 PC for some reason, but my Win7 PC does find my LM laptop). I'm using Linux Mint 19
