Locked Regulatory Domain on adapter.

Post by Charlie » Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:01 pm

I have an Alfa network WiFi adapter and it comes locked to the UK regulatory domain. I'd like the ability to change that and I have read some people have managed, I was wondering if that's true and can it really be altered.

I don't really want to have to mess up my system finding out if the answer can be found elsewhere.

The adapter is Alfa Network AWUS036NHA

Appreciate any help.

That supposed quality Alfa adapter was cutting out and has stopped working entirely after under a week. Needless to say it is being returned. The adapter had the correct chipset and hologram so I do not think it was a copy. It just couldn't handle my activity. Using another card, although much cheaper in comparison, Ralink chipset, it is allowing me to change Reg Domain and is not disconnecting. So far much impressed.
