<SOLVED> WiFi stopped working in the middle of surfing the Internet; reboot and Timeshift didn't help

The system still sees WiFi networks, including my own, and reports being online, but there's no connection. To my knowledge, no updates were going on at the time.To be honest, given the above, I'm not even sure this is a Mint problem, but if anyone had similar issues and found a solution, I'd appreciate your help.
