What is a good wireless Pci-e Wifi Card working with LM19?

Post by barth90 »

I built a desktop PC to use with LM19. The wireless wifi card I had put in is based on the Realtek RTL8812AE and is giving me problems. What would be a good replacement card that you know will work well with LM19.
My desktop is not close to the modem so I need to go wifi.

Thank you for any suggestion.

I bought 2 of these, and both worked without a hitch in LM 19:

I have been using the ASUS PCE-AC55BT B1

According the the WikiDevi page for this device, it used the Intel PMB5502 chipset.

On my home network, it provides up and down speeds almost as fast (maybe a 10% difference) as my hard-wired desktop.

Most Intel PCI(e) cards should work with LM19. If it doesn't ask a question in wireless and if nothing else I will email the people at Intel to get it supported

I don't have the computers anymore. I installed the wireless cards into two computers that were given to me and I installed Mint on them and made them wireless with the cards so that I could donate them to an organization that helps people learn some computer skills.

I've replaced my RTL8812AE based wifi card with this one. My download speed went from 2 to 70-80!
I just plugged it in my PC and LM19 detected it right away. As a side benefit, this card also have Bluetooth.

Bought it on cyber monday. It had a $20 rebate for the day.

All is well.

Thank you for the suggestion
