Wifi not working "newbie"

Post by Hawkeye_95 »

I'm on Mint 19 Cinnamon, fresh install to a HP Model 15-da0032wm, the wifi chip is a Realtek RTL8821CE. Currently using ethernet setup.

Hello, Hawkeye_95.

I do not wish to disappoint you; yet, it might be that the wifi adapter Realtek RTL8821CE is currently not supported by any Linux kernel, because Realtek has not made the wifi driver source code available.
This is at least, what JeremyB repored here only recently. And JeremyB as a rule is extremely well informed about how to solve issues with wifi adapters on Ubuntu / Linux Mint.

Best regards,
Karl

This post by JVR (at the bottom of the page) fixed his wifi issue with the Realtek RTL8821CE adapter.
