wifi range and slow mint 19 SOLVED

I installed mint 19 today. Previously the problem I had with the above was solved by part of the following.

I have this card and creating a config file in modprob.d as described and setting the antennae to 1 was enough for me. However no longer any help from someone would be appreciated. PS seems better on 2 now 0/1 seem the same but do work.

Some hero on this website created a script to download and install drivers which has solved the problem since I'm more than a metre away from the hub.

There were errors and it said libs were missing but works....

Please note I've just done an update (yesterday) and something network manager? broke it again. I had to do the above and its sorted again.
