wifi not working after upgrade

Post by roy_nico »

Hello!
After apt-get upgrade a few days ago, my USB wireless adapter stop working, although it worked perfectly before.
Symptom: I can see (scan) the available wireless in the neighbourhood, but selecting my SSID (in the Network Manager GUI), and providing the (correct) password, it fails to connect. (I can access the wireless from other devices, smartphone and other PC).
Looking for solutions in forums, I set

Code: Select all

REGDOMAIN=DE
in

Code: Select all

/etc/default/crda
and reboot but it did not work.
Curiously,

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
does not seem to list my adapter:

Please try an older kernel and see if the same issue exists

Yes, it's the same with 4.15.0-39-generic and 4.15.0-43-generic
