<SOLVED> Wi-Fi stopped working while my laptop was on, Mint 19.

Post by PinkWolfFenrir »

Wi-Fi stopped working half-way through a session. No updates that day or anything. I know that this is weird but.... my network driver used to be Mediatek MT7630, if you can see my post history it you can see what i posted there. Now when I did the inxi -Fxz, it says Realtek RTL.... I don't know what to say about that.

I would power it off, remove bottom cover, take the wifi card out of the slot, then put it back in, and reboot
The Realtek listed in the inxi results is ethernet

Don't know what to say, shut the thing off to unplug the card, realised that I don't know how to open the laptop, turned it back on to find out online and now the wireless is back. Before this I reset the thing multiple times, albeit now I shut it off, and then turned it back on instead of resetting. But still, thank You.
