Are there any USB-WiFi dongels easy to install and use for Linux Mint 19.1 Mate 64-bit?

If you are using an 802.11AC compatible router and want to utilize the fast connection, you may want to try one of these:

..and then install the driver from here:

I bought one for my laptop to speed up file transfer when copying huge files from my desktop. :)

Or, if you would rather plug'n'play, look for a Panda PAU09. It costs a bit more, but is a great wifi module and the driver is in the kernel. And there are other dongles that are in the same category, that's why you really need to try to determine the actual chip and not just the brand name of the dongle.

Building a driver can be a good experience, and useful. But will probably need to be done again at a distro update, or significant change in kernel.

Just a thought or two.
